Interior designer Jesse Leigh Vickers loves an eclectic but collected art wall, especially the one she curated for her first home. Tour her new digs in Park Circle and pick up her tips for infusing spaces with personality and luxe details.SEEKING SERENITY: It was the marsh view that drew Jesse Leigh Vickers to this North Charleston gem, and the top floor porch, outfitted with a double chaise by Four Hands and table by CB2, is the perfect place to read, relax, and soak up the scenery with her cuddly cat, Pickles.HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT: An eye-catching art wall—replete with pieces from local artists Nathan Durfee, Katherine Dunlap, Miles Purvis, and Nina Garner—dominates Vickers’s living room. But where’s the television? Front and center. The Samsung Frame TV blends in as a piece of art when not in use.SUBTLY DRAMATIC: A whitewashed wood chandelier from Arteriors hangs over the dining table helping delineate the dining area from the living room.LINEAR THINKING: Open shelving and shiplap walls create an inviting kitchen space that flows seamlessly from the adjoining dining area, replete with green velvet chairs by Moes (“They’re so easy to clean!” says Vickers). She chose shiplap as it’s less expensive than a tile backsplash and helped with the continuity of the space.Green velvet chairs by MoesLUXE DETAILS: Rio Venato marble countertops that waterfall to white oak flooring provide a high-end focal point, contrasting beautifully with the dark cabinetry and Alder and Tweed leather and bronze stools. A pair of Hudson Valley pendant lights complete the modern, organic look. The pantry wall sits opposite the kitchen and is an ingenious space saver, concealing the fridge and providing all the storage she needs behind quartersawn white oak veneer.Home At LastHome At LastSCREEN TIME: “It’s really Pickle’s porch. I just get to hang out there occasionally,” says Vickers about the screened-in spot where the cat can bird-watch and sun from the IKEA sofa scattered with pretty patterned pillows.Home At LastNATURAL INSTINCTS: Calming hues in the master bedroom draw from the palette of oaks and marsh just beyond the windows. A brass Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams canopy bed and long, low dresser provide depth, while Ellis Dunn “Michelle Fog” drapes and Phillip Jeffries “Africana” seagrass wallpaper add texture to the scene.Home At LastFinishing touches, such as the lamp by Arteriors...and Ro Sham Beaux table-turned-plant stand, offer a little luster.GRAPHIC DETAIL: Geometric Riad floor tiles pick up on splashes of black in the paned shower door and Delta Trinsic fixtures in this streamlined master bathA large portrait found at a vintage market dominates Vickers’s office/home gym. She pulled in a deep green hue from the painting for the dramatic ceiling.
