High Water Festival 2018

Set along the oak-lined grounds of North Charleston's Riverfront Park, the High Water Fest seemed serene at first glance, but was rocking and rolling at first song. Twenty artists, all selected by local folk duo Shovels & Rope (who also performed), played on two stages throughout the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22. Between the performances, festival goers mingled among the vendor village, which offered food from the likes of Lewis Barbecue, Roti Rolls, and Semilla Mexican; beer, wine, and cocktails; and retail products from area artisan shops. The music, of course, was the main draw: from Shovels and Rope's multi-instrument talents to the soulful ballads of Band of Horses, the audiences were left captivated. Here, we've gathered a few highlights from the shows.
